Once again, it's March the 2nd, which is Chris Martin's birthday! I've written a birthday post back in 2011, and it's scary that four years have passed since then. However, I don't think I can alter much in what I wrote last time, because it was concise and clearly illustrated how I feel. So, bringing that back again, HAPPY 38th BIRTHDAY CHRIS! Wishing you many many more to come. Thank you for all your lovely music, I’ve been a fan since 2000 -I was 9. Seriously, thank you. You’re splendid, and I can’t imagine how the last FIFTEEN years would’ve been without you (and Coldplay, that is!)
Here's a cozy acoustic version of Shiver [a favorite], recorded way back in 2000, when Chris and Johnny were only 23 and 22, respectively:
In other news, my cat just burned her paw casually strolling over the stove. Brilliant. Yes I got a cat and her name is Yoko.
Oh, and I have my first final exam of the year this Saturday. It's the beginning of the end guys, countdown to finally graduating uni! These exams will make -or break- me, so lets hope all goes well. One thing I need to majorly improve on is my self confidence, or lack thereof. Consultants keep shoving it in my face that I'm very self conscious and that could potentially lead to me not getting a mark as high as I want it to be on my oral exams (which has alwayyyyyss been the case, but this time the exams are life determining..) and I do understand that body language goes a long way, but I've just never been that overt confident person..
"BUT YOU'RE GOING TO BE A DOCTOR!!!! YOU MUST BE CONFIDENT!!!"
I know. I hope I become a doctor too. But I'm still not, and even if I do manage to become one, it'll still take me ages to be the physician I want to be. I don't think I'll ever reach that level of knowledge and confidence where I just spit out info effortlessly. In regards to the little confidence I have which stems from the inadequate knowledge I have, I try my best periodically to change that, but I ultimately end up at square one. Anyhow, here's an interesting TED talk which gave me my life motto -for this year at least:
I guess I'm going to need to do a lot of faking XD But it's a really eye-opening talk if you're like me, the type of person who's generally closed off and not that social, lacking major self-confidence. I'd urge you to watch it if you've got 20 minutes to divert from your work/studying/etc..
Anyhow, I hope that was enjoyable and beneficial :) I need to get back to studying before it's bed time, which is pretty soon..
Till next time xx

It's amazing seeing them come so far.
