About Me

My photo
I'm a very tall overly obsessive final year medical student. I happen to really like traveling, watching TV shows on my laptop, playing Tetris, art + music, and baking. Religiously. In this blog I'll be talking about my daily events and whatever randomly comes up..

Alright so the extra info promised:

-Job wise: slowly it unravels, the moment we've been waiting for, and with work starting on Sunday, I went to ask about where I'll be put. Honestly speaking, I wasn't happy with the group I was put in; then again, who gives a crap at this point, I've been through far too much this year to care about something so petty. That aside, I'll be starting with surgery, and my first subgroup is emergency! Should be fun, dealing with bellyaches and ..more bellyaches in the ER, and also experiencing shift work, so I guess it's not all bad that I'm starting with this.

-Nose wise: do you need a septoplasty? Do you feel like you can't breathe half the time? Get one. Much recommended. It's not that bad at all. Healing is iffy, stitches are annoying, but hey, I'll be able to breathe through my nose and run for over a minute without dying!

Also, I mentioned last time that I'd be starting the 30 day writing challenge, and this is what it's going to entail:

Looking forward to that as well, starting the 1st! Let's hope I keep up with it!!

Till next time x

New Beginnings

It's been a while, a pretty long one.

Last time I'd posted something, I was excited about finishing a previous chapter in my life and  starting a new one. Unfortunately, one comes to learn that not everything that's expected will necessarily happen. Not because you're a bad person, not because you didn't work hard enough, not because you're any less deserving than everyone else, but because God knows what's best for you. God is kinder to you than you are to yourself. And although the direct apparent reason behind something you dislike happening to you may not be that obvious at first, one must believe that what fate has delivered is truly for the best, in a mystical way that's unknown to us mere simple-minded hyoomans.

That aside, most pertinent updates are as follows:
-I don't think I've ever mentioned Yoko, have I? Yoko is my baby (cat.) I haz cat now.
-Officially done with medical school!! Woot!
-Starting work in hospital as junior physician (shmancy for: glorified secretary) on the 1st of November.
-Finally got my septoplasty done last Tuesday.

More shall follow on each soon enough, but not now.

Also, in an effort to bring this dead blog to life, I decided to take up a 30 day writing challenge. More on that will follow as well, and I'll probably officially start it on the 1st of November.

With sleep slowly seeping into my system, I shall depart in an abrupt manner putting no effort whatsoever into making the transition seamless.
